Quise Williams a Houston Texas native, who wrote his first
poem at the age of nine. Not even his
Parents knew of his ability to make words live until 2009 when the rest of the
world began to discover his talent. Since the worlds discovery of The Notebook
as he is called, Quise has been one the premier Poets to lend their voice to
countless online poetry shows, open mic venues and published works of Poetry.
His resume reads like a who's who of Poetry and Spoken word with features
including Def Poetry Jam Alumni Black Ice and Sunni Patterson in 2011 and 2012
and Talaam Acey respectively. Quise has
also been a returning featured poet for Poetry in Motion Care Bears annual
showcase benefitting ill children. He is
also a published author, his first book of poetry The Remnants of Me was
published in 2013 and is currently available at Innerchild Press. He established One Stage One Mic Ent. where
he later partnered with Yvette Burks in branding a Tshirt apparel line
globally, with plans on extending their services to management and
production. Sensual, conscious and
rough, he is a poet's poet.
"Everyday living is my stage…& my pen is my mic. My poetry
embodies life, love, experience, happiness, heartache, fatherhood, spirituality
and sexuality. My words are conscious and rough, but respectfully blunt. These are my mental images in poetry form,
although all of my poetry may not be from personal life experience, it is
SOMEONE’S experience. And if I can touch the life of one person or tell the
story they are unable to voice, then I’m good with that."
